ABOUT US

About Us

Wild Atlantic Adventures offers a range of outdoor water-based activities, focusing primarily on coasteering. This fast-paced, action-packed activity, takes groups around some of the best coastlines the Hebrides has to offer. Swimming, jumping, climbing our way around with qualified and experienced guides showing participants the rugged sea cliffs, caves and hidden passages. Additional activities such as snorkeling will also be offered. These trips will focus on the wonderful wildlife around the islands, where we will see cold water corals, crustaceans, fish and maybe even marine mammals.

Wild Atlantic Adventures provides enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff along with all of the support and safety equipment required to enjoy these hidden wilderness areas. This is the perfect way to see the magnificent Hebridean islands and experience the coastline in a whole new way.

  • WHAT DO I NEED?
We provide all of the safety equipment (activity specific wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets). All you need to bring are trainers that you don't mind getting wet and a large towel suitable for changing.
  • ARE THERE CHANGING ROOMS?
Most of our sites are in pristine 'off the beaten track' locations, where there are no additional facilities. These locations will require you to change outside. So remember to bring a towel.
  • TRANSPORT?
Transport is not provided so you will have to make your own way to the agreed meeting point. Parking at some locations is limited so please share vehicles where possible. For groups of 2 or less there is a possibility for car sharing. This should be raised when making your booking.
  • COLD...?
The Hebrides benefits from the gulf stream - this prevents the water from ever getting too cold. Tempratures range from 6 degrees in the winter to 15 degress in the summer. This means wetsuits are always required, so we provide you with a thick wetsuit to ensure that you stay warm whenever you decide to jump in the sea.
  • HOW LONG IS THE SEASON
The season is flexible and very weather dependent but we normally run from the beginning of May to the end of October. If you're interested in any activity outside the season just get in contact and we can potentially organise an arctic adventure!
